Since 1940 Seaboard Federal Credit Union has strived to meet the needs of its owners in providing a safe and sound financial alternative. All accounts are insured to at least $250,000 by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), an agency of the federal government. Whether it's opening your child's first savings account or buying a new home, we're here to serve you.

Community Involvement

Seaboard Federal Credit Union is a community-focused credit union dedicated to making a meaningful difference in the communities we serve. While providing exceptional financial services is at the heart of what we do, our commitment extends far beyond banking. We proudly support local organizations, events, and initiatives that help strengthen our neighborhoods.

One of our most important community efforts is our participation in the Maine Credit Unions' Campaign for Ending Hunger. Each year, Seaboard raises funds and awareness to help fight food insecurity across Maine, reflecting our ongoing commitment to giving back. In 2025, Maine credit unions collectively raised an incredible $1,496,116.71 to support the Campaign for Ending Hunger.

Community Involvment

Seaboard is also proud to sponsor, volunteer at, and participate in many local events throughout the year, including the Bucksport Bay Festival, Bucksport’s Ghostport, Carmel Days, Ellsworth's Autumn Gold, and Hermon's Summer Sizzler. Whether we're supporting local families, partnering with community organizations, or celebrating hometown traditions, Seaboard is committed to making our communities stronger.
